Fashionista and TV star Nicole Richie has a keen eye for great books and we highly envy her beautiful book stack photos. Posting her seasonal reading list for all of her Instagram followers to see, Nicole has great taste in books.

Quarantine Reads

While the US practices social distancing by staying home, Nicole made it a priority to read a ton of books on her TBR. “These are my lockdown plans. Please send me 9 thousand more recommendations. (My recommendations to you are The Great Alone, & The Heart’s Invisible Furies).”

Top Reads of 2019

Nicole loves sharing all the books she’s read with her followers and at the end of 2019, she shared her top 18 reads of the year. Among these titles were Trick Mirror by Jia Tolentino, The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates, Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens and other favorites.

Nicole Richie killed the reading game this spring by finishing off eight book including titles like The Ghost Notebooks, Marlena and the highly-anticipated Barracoon by Zora Neale Hurston.

The Heart’s Invisible Furies by John Boyne

John Boyne’s The Heart’s Invisible Furies follows the journey of one young man who can’t seem to find his place in the world. Adopted by well-to-do parents, Cyril Avery knows he’s not truly an Avery and spends the next few decades trying to figure out just who he really is.

Nicole’s latest #TBR pile is chock full of new releases and golden oldies. From Little Fires Everywhere to Exit West and seemingly everything in between, her latest book picks are giving us major heart eyes.

During the fall of 2017, Nicole stocked up on some of our favorite bestsellers from Jesmyn Ward’s Sing, Unburied, Sing to The Mothers by Brit Bennett. If you’ve yet to read through her book pile, we think now is the perfect time to get reading.

Nicole’s summer 2017 reading list is still a go-to list of excellent books by some of the best authors in the game. Our favorites from this collection? Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi and Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro.
