About the Adaptation

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex acquired the rights to Meet Me at the Lake for Netflix through Archewell Productions. Netflix reportedly spent $3 million on the rights to this novel back in 2023 and is currently working on producing the script and putting the adaptation through pre-production. There is no official release date for the project as of now.

Meet Me at the Lake is going to be produced by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s company, Archewell Productions. Harry and Meghan founded Archewell Productions in 2020, also signing a multi-year deal with Netflix in that same year. Archewell Productions promises to create diverse and thoughtful stories and has worked with Netflix to create many documentaries that solidify this idea. Meet Me at the Lake marks one of the company’s first romance adaptations.
