Fourth Wing Adaptation Gets New Showrunner
Fans are eagerly awaiting the series adaptation of Fourth Wing coming to Amazon Prime and every bit of news has us kicking our feet. Though we don’t have a release date yet, news of who will be leading the show has been announced. Jac Schaeffer (Agatha All Along and WandaVision) has been called up to be the showrunner.

Jennette McCurdy Memoir Becomes Apple TV+ Series Adaptation
Jennette McCurdy Nickelodeon life was not as perfect as it seemed to the teens tuning in. In her smash hit memoir, I’m Glad My Mom Died, she details the trauma she endured while growing up. From her mother encouraging unhealthy eating to not being allowed to shower by herself, Jennette tells her story as a childhood star. Apple TV+ has picked up the book for an adaptation. McCurdy will serve as a co-showrunner with Ari Katcher. Jennifer Anniston will star and work as an executive producer on the series.
The Tenant Set to be Adapted into a Film
Freida McFadden’s thriller, The Tenant, follows Blake, a man who cannot find a job no matter where he looks. Increasingly desperate, he takes his friend’s advice and agrees to allow a tenant to move in to help with the mortgage. Whitney seems like the perfect person and perfect housemate, but when things start going awry signs point to her. Amazon MGM Studio is adapting the book into a movie. Scott Stuber is set to produce alongside the studio. The film is still in early stage so a release date has not yet been set.
You Deserve Each Other Casting Revealed
Sarah Hogle’s You Deserve Each Other, begins with Naomi and Nicholas seeming like the perfect engaged couple. But deep down they both know how unhappy they truly are. In fact, both of them individually come to the conclusion that they shouldn’t get married. Whoever calls off engagement will have to pay for their non-refundable wedding. So instead of stepping up, they both try to drive the other away. Amazon is adapting the book into film. The cast was revealed to star Penn Badgley and Meghann Fahy along with Kyle MacLachlan, Natalie Morales, and Justin Long.
Sci-Fi Thriller, Project Hail Mary, Hitting Theaters This March
In Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir Ryland Grace navigates being a middle school teacher, until he wakes up on a rocketship with amnesia. Slowly he regains his memories and recalls that he was tasked with going on a dangerous space mission to discover why “Astrophage” is dimming the Sun. The Earth is at stake. Along the ride he meets an alien who was sent on a similar mission. Both with the same goal of saving their planets, they decide to work together, no matter how difficult. This sci-fi story is being adapted into a movie that will hit theaters March 20th, 2026. It will star Ryan Gosling and is being directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

Park Avenue Set to Become an MGM Television Series
Renee Ahdieh’s Park Avenue follows Jia Song who always dreamed of having the extravagance of New York’s Fifth Avenue and she worked hard to get there. Finally things are falling into place. She became a junior partner at a well-known law firm and has great friends supporting her every move. When her boss asks her to be a part of an uber wealthy family’s legal troubles everything turns around. Suddenly she has one month to help the bickering, distasteful family. She must search for the truth before it’s too late. MGM Television has picked up this story to adapt it into a series. It will be written by and executive produced by Johanna Lee.
Ransom Canyon is Renewed for a Second Season
In the first of ten books and the first season of the television series adaptation, Ransom Canyon follows, the Kirklands, Tates, and O’Gradys are in competition for land in Crossroads, Texas. However, their lives are more intertwined than they’d like to admit, making things more difficult. The yet-to-be-released second season will not follow the story line of the second book directly but will continue developing the characters from the first season.
The Last Thing He Told Me Gets a Sequel Set to be Released In January 2026
Laura Dave’s hit book The Last Thing He Told Me was adapted into an Apple TV+ series that was released in 2023. When Hannah and her step-daughter suffer the loss of her husband they are forced to leave town. But when her husband re-appears, shockingly alive, they have no choice but to face the web of lies they have created – especially now that someone seems to be after them. Dave announced she is writing the highly-anticipated sequel, The First Time I Saw Him. It will be released in January 2026.
Reese’s Book Club Creates an Accompanying Podcast
Reese Witherspoon’s book club has gained significant recognition since it began in 2017. She uses her platform to focus on female writers, giving them recognition and support. Now has started a podcast called Bookmarked to accompany the book club. It is hosted by Danielle Robay and releases new episodes every week. Robay speaks with not only authors, but also musicians, actors, and more.
