Hamnet

The teaser for the new adaptation of Maggie O’Farrell’s best-selling novel is here! Directed by the Oscar-winning Chloe Zhao, and written by Zhao and O’Farrell this film is set to be released in theaters by Thanksgiving. This beautiful, heart-breaking tale about the making of Hamlet from Shakespeare’s wife’s perspective stars Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal.

Die, My Love

Adapted from Ariana Harwicz’s novel of the same name, this film releases in theaters on November 7th. This psychological drama follows a woman going slowly mad as she is forced to adjust to a new city, new home, new child, and her increasingly absent husband. Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson star in this emotionally moving tale.

Wicked: For Good

The highly anticipated sequel to Wicked releases in theaters on November 21st. Starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, the musical blockbuster will complete the two part extravaganza inspired by the Broadway musical and Gregory Maguire novel. Elphaba is exiled and Glinda is at the peak of her popularity in Emerald City. When an angry mob is on the hunt for Elphaba, the two friends must work together again to transform Oz as they know it.

Frankenstein

Guillermo del Toro’s newest feature film starring Jacob Elordi, Oscar Isaac, and Mia Goth will release on Netflix on November 7th after showing in select theaters. The film adaptation is a beautiful testament to the classic novel by Mary Shelley. Vivid costuming, sets, and storytelling will leave audiences falling in love with the creature and the message he carries.

TV Shows

Stranger Things 5

The highly anticipated finale has finally arrived! After nine years, the final season of Stranger Things will air in three parts on November 26th, December 25th, and December 31st on Netflix. The beloved cast prepare for a final battle with Vecna, the arch villain from the previous season who plans to merge the Upside Down with the real world.

Pluribus

Streaming November 7th on Apple TV+, this dark comedy stars Rhea Seehorn as Carol, a romance writer. From the creators of Breaking Bad comes a supernatural tale about a world where everyone fell victim to a virus that made them  one blissful hive mind called “The Others.” That is, except Carol. Supposedly the most miserable person on earth, Carol tries desperately not to join the collective.

 

Death by Lightening

Inspired by Candice Millard’s 2011 nonfiction book Destiny of the Republic: A Tale of Madness, Medicine and the Murder of a President, this mini series on Netflix tells the true story of Andrew Garfield’s 200 day presidency. Using the perspectives of the president and his assassin, the show tells a thrilling tale that immerses audiences in a historically accurate political world full of shocking action and intrigue. The four part series starring Michael Shannon and Matthew Macfadyen airs on November 6th.

All Her Fault

Based on Andrea Mara’s novel of the same name from 2021, this thriller stars Sarah Snook, Jake Lacy, and Dakota Fanning. The series is inspired by a true story about a mother named Marissa looking for her missing son who wasn’t at the house she thought she had arranged for him to be at for a playdate. While the family tries desperately to find their four-year-old son, they start coming apart and uncovering dark secrets about themselves. The show will air on Peacock on November 6th.
