Enemies & Lovers Card Game by Holly Black

Based upon the beloved Folk of the Air trilogy, Holly Black is running a Kickstarter campaign for a new game called Enemies & Lovers. This is a strategy and deception-based card game that was made for two to four players and will last between fifteen and forty minutes. This game is available in various purchase bundles, from just buying the game, to special editions, to limited edition artwork. This card game is based upon the entire Folk of the Air trilogy but takes the majority of its content from the first book in the series, The Cruel Prince.

Determined to carve out a place for herself among the fey, Jude navigates power struggles and fights against her complex feelings toward the cruel Prince Cardan, in this enemies-to-lovers trilogy.

The Idea of You Controversy

Spoiler warning for The Idea of You book and film adaptation.

The author of The Idea of You has recently come out and said that the ending of the film adaptation was not the story that she wanted to tell. The film The Idea of You is available to stream on Prime Video and has been a huge success, reaching millions of streams within the first couple of weeks since its release. But not all has been smooth sailing with this adaptation, as the author has come out and stated that the film completely changes the ending and meaning of the story she was trying to tell. The film The Idea of You ends with Solène and Hayes seemingly getting back together and having a happy ending, whereas the novel ends with Solène breaking up with Hayes due to the strain in her relationship with her daughter. Author Robinne Lee states that she does not feel betrayed by the film ending because it is Hollywood and people want happy endings, but that it was not the original story that she wanted to tell.
