We are all subject to getting swept away by a sexy book boyfriend. In January, we got our Xaden fix and a hopeful hint about who might play him in the Amazon adaptation (hint: look at Josh Heuston’s Instagram). But it’s a new month and February is filled with love so we are celebrating our current literary crush: Leo Woodall.

This British cutie patootie has graced not one, but two book adaptations and we can’t get enough of him.

This month, he will grace our screens in the final chapter of the Bridget Jones film series, Bridget Jones Mad About the Boy. Playing Roxster a much younger man pursuing the widowed Bridget Jones (alongside her kids’ science teacher), we get to see Renée Zellweger once again getting pursued by a pair handsome men.

However, this isn’t the only instance where Woodall has stolen our hearts. Last year, the Netflix book-to-screen adaptation of One Day broke us all over again, just like the novel by David Nicholls.

And if you still haven’t had your fill, he’s also a showstopper in Season Two of The White Lotus, which you should probably going ahead and rewatch with Season Three’s release just around the corner, right?

Swoon-worthy Quotables

“I just think it’s such a beautiful story. It’s dubbed as a romance story, but there’s just so much life in it.” – On One Day, in an interview with Variety

“I’m too self-conscious to be like Jack, I couldn’t imagine it. I always wonder what it’s like for people like that to go home and be on their own. What are you like when you’re by yourself? They need that energy from people, I’m not one of those.” – On his character Jack in The White Lotus, in an interview with British GQ

“I struggled at the beginning of One Day — I was struck by how much pressure I felt being a lead. I didn’t know if I should behave like the captain of a sports team. And I struggled with not having any kind of moment to myself, like you can’t tie your own shoelace or spit your own gum out.” – On the leading role of One Day, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter
