We may only be in the second month of the year, but there’s enough blockbusters and silver screen releases to fill your calendar. Get your popcorn ready to watch Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi in Wuthering Heights, and don’t forget to clear your schedule for the second half of Bridgerton season 4! With these releases and more, you’ll be glued to your screens (while working through your TBR pile, of course).
Movies
Wuthering Heights
You won’t want to miss this dreamlike adaptation of Emily Brontë’s classic novel starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi that is frequently heralded as the greatest love story of all time. It is not intended to be an exact adaptation of the book, but it promises to be an entertaining watch that will release in theaters just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Midwinter Break
This quiet film, based on Bernard MacLaverty’s novel of the same name, follows a retired couple’s trip to Amsterdam that calls forth memories of their shared past and their once-infallible marriage. Its theatrical release is slated for February 20.
TV Shows
The Lincoln Lawyer
After a nail-biting cliffhanger at the end of Season 3, Season 4 picks up right where it left off. Mickey will have to handle his most difficult case yet—and this time, he’s the client. The season premieres February 5th on Netflix.
The Artful Dodger
This beloved Oliver Twist spinoff following Dr. Jack Dawkins (Thomas Brodie-Sangster) and his double life as the Artful Dodger in an Australian penal colony returns to Disney+ and Hulu February 10th for its second season. Jack will have to outsmart the new lawman to avoid the noose, even as the two fight for Lady Belle’s affection.
Cross
Alex Cross, the most famous of James Patterson’s characters, makes his return to TV screens for a second season. He’s been called to hunt down a merciless vigilante who has been picking off billionaires one by one. The first three episodes drop February 11, with the rest releasing weekly through March 18.
The Night Agent
Agent Peter Sutherland is back and riding on the success of his latest mission. His newest assignment will take him around the world and push him to his limits. The third season premieres February 19th on Nerflix.
The Last Thing He Told Me
In Season 1, viewers were introduced to Owen, his wife Hannah, and his daughter Bailey. His sudden disappearance, leaving nothing but a note telling Hannah to protect Bailey, threw the family’s life into chaos. The season ended with Hannah agreeing to care for Bailey, even if it meant never seeing Owen again. Season 2 releases on Apple TV+ February 20 and will follow the events of the recently released second novel, The First Time I Saw Him.
Bridgerton
In true Netflix fashion, the long-awaited fourth season of Bridgerton will be released in two parts. Part 1 drops January 29, but we’ll have to wait (impatiently!) until February 26 to see how Benedict and Sophie’s love story unfolds.
