With the wrap-up of summer, there was no shortage of book reading among celebs. I am sure they were getting last-minute reads in before they were back to work for TV seasons and fall movie premieres. This is what Hollywood’s reading this September.

Rachel Bilson is reading Bachelor Nation: Inside the World of America’s Favorite Guilty Pleasure by Amy Kaufman

The be-all, tell-all book about #bachnation is a must-read. Kaufman endlessly researched and compiled interviews to get the inside story on America’s guilty pleasure – The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Something Summer Roberts would totes be obsessed with.

Shiri Appleby and Aubrey Plaza are reading You’re on an Airplane: A Self-Mythologizing Memoir by Parker Posey

This quirky celeb’s memoir is a favorite among her peers and this read is full of personal stories and magical insights. Actress Parker Posey, best known for her breakout role in Dazed and Confused, has compiled her life tales, recipes and more in this book. Grab this read quick… before you can say “Air Raid, Freshmen.”

Ali Larter is reading All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

The Varsity Blues actress was indulging in this World War II novel that intertwines the lives of two unlikely friends who are trying to survive occupied France and who are also hiding secrets. A favorite among Reese Witherspoon as well!

Pink! is reading What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty

I love that the singer started sharing her reads! This novel by blockbuster author Liane Moriarty is set around Alice who wakes up on a gym floor and has to remember the last 10 years of her life. How is she 39 and how has her life gotten to where it is? Last she remembered she was 29, in love and pregnant.

Angela Kinsey is reading Calypso by David Sedaris

Sedaris’s latest collection of personal essays centers around his new beach house, Sea Section, on the Carolina coast. What he thought would be the ideal beach life is actually the moment he realizes you can’t escape your realities.

Lea Michele is reading The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen

One of my favorite picks of the year! A twisted love triangle, lies and deceit are the ingredients in this chilling thriller.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is reading Pieces of Her by Karin Slaughter

Andrea thinks she knows her mom Laura so well – as most daughters would. But when a horrific event happens to the two of them when they are at a local mall, Andrea sees a side of her mom she has never seen before. As Andrea tries to piece together her mother’s past, she realizes she may not know her at all.

Reese Witherspoon is reading Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens

Set against the stunning backdrop of North Carolina, “marsh girl” Kya, has always been a mystery to her community. Living in nature, she is quiet and mysterious. As soon as a local man turns up dead, she is the first suspect. A romance, mystery and a love song to the natural world, it’s no wonder this is the latest Reese Witherspoon Bookclub pick!
