All This Could Be Yours by Jami Attenberg

Jennifer says this book “looks terrific” and we’d have to agree.

Alex Tuchman’s father is on his deathbed and although she’s sad to see him go, she knows that once he has passed, she can learn the details of his malicious behaviors and extravagant life. Alex heads to New Orleans to interrogate her mother about her father where she will learn the truth about her family and their history. This novel focuses on a family learning to accept their past failures and trauma and begin again.


Fleishman Is in Trouble by Taffy Brodesser-Akner

Another book Jennifer thinks will be a terrific addition to her bookshelves is Fleishman Is in Trouble. Toby Fleishman is newly single and getting used to online dating and co-parenting his children. When his estranged wife drops the kids off and doesn’t return, he’ll have to take a hard look at what has happened, and dig deep within to understand the mistakes he made.


Maybe You Should Talk to Someone: A Therapist, Her Therapist, and Our Lives Revealed by Lori Gottlieb

Lori Gottlieb is used to being a therapist to many unique and diverse patients. But as she struggles with her own problems, she meets with Wendell, a textbook definition of a therapist who will help Lori reshape her world and give her insight into the way she treats her own patients. This non-fiction read has touches of humor and brightness that brings to life what it really means to be human.
