Set 24 years before the original, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping follows a young Haymitch Abernathy as he’s chosen for the 50th Hunger Games, with the trailer debuting a star-studded cast including Joseph Zada, Elle Fanning, and Ralph Fiennes. In theaters November 20, 2026.

Katherine LaNasa Is Joining the Count My Lies Cast

Emmy winner Katherine LaNasa (The Pitt) is joining the cast of the upcoming Hulu series Count My Lies. She is set to play Tracy, the mother of Shailene Woodley’s lead character, Sloane. The limited series is expected to hit the streaming platform later this year.

The Corrections Is Becoming a Netflix Series

Twenty-five years after its debut, Jonathan Franzen’s National Book Award winner The Corrections is heading to Netflix as a series. Starring Meryl Streep, the adaptation follows three adult siblings as they navigate their own unraveling lives while resisting their mother’s plea for one final family Christmas.

The House in the Cerulean Sea Is Becoming an Animated Series

Warner Bros. Animation is officially developing an animated series based on TJ Klune’s bestselling novel, The House in the Cerulean Sea. The project is in its early stages with no cast or creative team yet attached.

Gods of the Game Is Coming to Amazon

Amazon MGM Studios has secured the rights to adapt Ana Huang’s bestselling sports romance series, Gods of the Game, into a film trilogy. The project will bring the high-stakes world of English Premier League soccer to the screen. It’s set to be produced by the same team currently adapting Fourth Wing.

Parable of the Sower Is Hitting the Big Screen

Melina Matsoukas is set to direct and produce the film adaptation of Octavia E. Butler’s dystopian masterpiece, Parable of the Sower. Decades after its 1993 debut, the novel’s hauntingly prescient themes led it to become a bestseller in 2020.

More Casting Announcements for The Husbands

Juno Temple will be joined by Joe Alwyn, Richard Gadd, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Joel Kinnaman, Daniel Ings, Bob Morley, and Fehinti Balogun as her many on-screen husbands in the Apple TV+ series from A24.

Netflix’s Little House on the Prairie Trailer Was Released

The newest adaptation of Little House on the Prairie premieres July 9, starring Luke Bracey and Crosby Fitzgerald as Charles and Caroline Ingalls. Rather than a direct remake of the original show, this new Netflix adaptation will draw more closely from the beloved books.

Our Gus Everett Has Been Casted

Patrick Schwarzenegger is set to star opposite Phoebe Dynevor (January Andrews) in Beach Read, 20th Century Studios’ adaptation of Emily Henry’s bestselling novel—though the casting news has sparked mixed reactions among fans. Time will tell whether or not the actor is the right fit for the role, but we’re hopeful that we’ll love it just as much as People We Meet on Vacation.

Kennedy Ryan Is Working With Universal Studio Group on Adaptations

Kennedy Ryan is bringing her bestselling romance stories to the screen with a new first-look deal at Universal Studio Group, where she’ll develop and produce the series across platforms. First up: a TV adaptation of Before I Let Go, which she’ll co-write and executive produce with Malcolm D. Lee, now in development at Peacock.

A New Divergent Series Is Coming

Announced at the recent Book Con in New York, The Sixth Faction is a new book in the Divergent series from Veronica Roth. Out October 6, 2026, it retells Beatrice Prior’s story in an alternate universe, returning to the dystopian world that first made Roth a household name during the 2010s.

The Newest Shatter Me Book Was Announced

Escape Me, the third book in the new Shatter Me series, will be released on September 29, 2026. The announcement was recently made on Tahereh Mafi’s Instagram, where she also announced that a limited number of signed pre-order copies are also available ahead of release, with the cover reveal coming soon.
