About Shana Velazquez

Shana’s first chapter book was Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery. Anne Shirley’s ‘kindred spirit’ was what launched Shana’s passion for reading, storytelling, and all things entertainment. Shana’s enthusiastic and positive attitude led her into the beauty industry in Virginia, where she worked with an award-winning salon until her move to Arizona. In Phoenix, Shana became a certified technical trainer and managed corporate salons, spear-heading and developing multiple teams and climbing the ladder to become one of the top producing managers in the area. Shana’s experience extends over operations, staff development and training, inventory management, stocking, scheduling, order acquisition and logistics, meeting and event planning, expense reduction, team building, accounts payable/ receivable management, payroll and accounting. With fifteen successful years of experience,Shana is delighted to join the team as Office Manager for SparkPoint Studio. When not working, Shana spends her free time with her two boys and three dogs, traveling, listening to local bands, hiking, and meeting with the writing critique group she founded in 2014 (she writes books!).
