Fans are deep into season one of Daisy Jones & the Six, and eagerly awaiting the release of One True Loves (okay, and secretly hoping Evelyn Hugo comes out this year and not in 2024), but how will they continue to fill the Taylor Jenkins Reid-size hole in their entertainment lineup?

Audiences, fear not! This week, another exciting announcement hit the TJR universe.

Picturestart has acquired the rights to Carrie Soto Is Back, Reid’s 2022 release. In this novel about a retired tennis star stepping back into the spotlight, Reid tells a story of triumph, sacrifice and the complicated nature of father-daughter relationships.

Emily Henry called this book “Gorgeous.” Last summer, the novel debuted on the New York Times bestseller list and was dubbed ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR by Time, NPR, Reader’s Digest and more.

Reid’s meteoric rise to #1 New York Times bestseller has morphed into an avid fanbase anxious to see any of her books on the big screen. While she is currently taking a break from writing books, her fans can anticipate five adaptations, from the recently released Daisy Jones & The Six Amazon series to Hulu’s plans to adapt Malibu Rising. Reid is also slated to executive produce Carrie Soto is Back alongside Circle of Confusion and Picturestart.
