In Thomas’s exclusive interview with EW, she explains what the title means to her and gives readers insights into what it was like trying to follow up The Hate U Give, which has spent 50 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list.
This isn’t the first taste of On the Come Up that Thomas has given fans this month. She announced a limited edition UK version of The Hate U Give that includes more sneak peeks into On the Come Up and she also revealed the first line of the book, “I might have to kill somebody tonight,” in an Instagram post.
