Nightbitch by Rachel Yoder

After putting her artistic life on hold for two years to care for her child, the mother has found herself in a daily rut of feeding, cleaning, and handling any tasks that child dishes out. One day, she notices a small patch of fur growing on her back and her teeth getting sharper. Her husband, away on one of his many business trips, tries to console her fears and says she is worried about nothing. But with these changes comes strange new feelings and impulses she cannot control. After finding a book called, A Field Guide to Magical Women: A Mythic Ethnography, and meeting some other moms who seem to be hiding something, she works to accept and balance all parts of herself as an artist, a mother, a wife, and so much more.
