What Hollywood’s Reading in May

Looking for the perfect companion to your beach bag this Memorial Day weekend? This month, celebs are picking some fabulous reads that will be the perfect addition to your summer wardrobe.  And if I can tell you one thing you won’t want to be seen without a book as they are the chicest accessory.

Just finished this one… I love @brenebrown so much. I discovered her @ted on the power of vulnerability about 4 years ago at a time when I really needed it. Sort of in the way they say your teachers arrive when you’re ready to learn. I’ve followed her since and she’s been a powerful teacher and inspiration for me. Any chance to hear (or read) her words are a gift in my opinion. I also think she does such a great job on subjects of white privilege and racism. She just gets it all right. If you’re not already familiar with her work, nows your chance. Enjoy ❤

Molly Sims is always sharing her favorite reads while she Instastories her travels and her latest travel companion is The Perfect Stranger by Megan Miranda- a how well do you know the new girl in town type of thriller.

If you like a good nail-biting, scary read, I have it for you with What She Knew by @gillymacmillan. This was a brilliant read! Yes, it’s time again for #HBBooksFromBed. I started this book thinking I was gonna read for 30 minutes to help myself fall asleep, but wholly shit, was I in for a surprise. I was up all night!  I couldn’t put it down. I love a good thriller and this book does not disappoint. This story is fast-paced, smart, technologically current, and every parent’s nightmare! If you enjoyed the film I did, Kidnap, you’ll love this addictive adventure. If you’ve read it or have the time to read it, let me know what you think! Halle Berry is known for her award-winning movie roles but she also loves to curl up with a good read.  What She Knew by Gilly Macmillan was the latest thriller to keep Berry up turning the pages.  This book centers on a mother whose son goes missing and is on a relentless mission to find out what happened sounds like a perfect role for Miss Halle herself.
