Emily Henry’s bestselling novel of the same name promises to deliver a heartwarming, poignant film about unlikely friends Poppy and Alex who discover that their bond might be more than friendship after all. You can never go wrong with a feel-good film that celebrates authentic love. Find it on Netflix starting January 9.
All You Need is Kill
Originally released in Japan in 2004, the light novel All You Need is Kill saw great success worldwide. A loose live-action adaptation starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt was released in 2014, but the story will return to theaters on January 16 as an animated film. The film follows Rita, who volunteers to help rebuild Japan after the disappearance of an alien flower called Darol. But when Darol makes its deadly return, Rita is killed and wakes up in an endless time loop. She soon meets Keiji, who is also trapped in a time loop, and they band together to break the loop and reclaim their lives.
H Is for Hawk
Based on Helen Macdonald’s acclaimed memoir, this film follows Helen, who studies falconry to cope with her father’s sudden death. She connects with a hawk named Mabel, and through the process of training her, Helen discovers how she has neglected her life and emotions. H Is for Hawk comes to theaters on January 23.
Return to Silent Hill
The third film adaptation of the video game series Silent Hill is set to premiere in theaters on January 23. Viewers will be on the edge of their seats as they watch James is called back to the town they once knew by a mysterious letter holding clues about his lost love’s whereabouts. But the town holds old secrets and new threats, threatening James’s life and sanity.

Run Away
Start the new year off with a heart-pounding thriller based on Harlan Coben’s hit novel that asks: how far will we go to keep our family together? When Simon’s daughter Paige runs away and is later found in a park delirious from drugs, a chance for reconciliation turns into a violent argument that threatens to tear the family apart for good. This limited series comes to Netflix on January 1.
Will Trent
This heavily-binged show is based on Karin Slaughter’s Will Trent series and returns to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for a highly anticipated fourth season on January 6. If you’ve been following Will Trent’s journey since the premiere, you won’t want to miss the new season.
His & Hers
Alice Feeney’s pacy thriller will hit our favorite streaming service on January 8 as a Netflix limited series. The series follows Anna, a journalist, and her detective ex-husband, Jack, who end up investigating a murder in Anna’s hometown. Their prime suspect? Each other. Past and present will collide as they fight to prove the other’s culpability.
The Night Manager
Ten years after the first season, this series based on a John Le Carré novel returns on January 11 to Prime Video for a second season. Jonathan Pine receives a new mission in Colombia involving an elusive arms dealer that will push him to the limit. As he infiltrates the dealer’s operations and descends into a world of violence and corruption, he uncovers a deadly plot that threatens the world as we know it. Will he thwart the dealer’s insidious plans before the clock runs out?
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
If you can’t get enough of Game of Thrones, rejoice! A new prequel, adapted from a series of novellas, transports viewers back 100 years before the events of Game of Thrones, where Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire, Egg, embark on the adventure of a lifetime. The series premieres on HBO Max January 18.
Bridgerton
Dearest gentle reader…are you ready for the next season of Bridgerton? This new tale from the ton features a mysterious lady at a masquerade ball who bewitches Benedict Bridgerton. Will the search for the masked woman in silver be his salvation or his undoing? Episodes 1-4 release January 29, and episodes 5-8 will release February 26.
