Emily Henry has become the go-to for summer rom-coms and now it has been announced that another of her hits is headed to the big screen.

The New York Times bestseller Beach Read is now in the hands of director Yulin Kuang who also wrote the screenplay for Henry’s People We Meet on Vacation adaptation. In this story about women’s fiction author, January Andrews, and literary darling, Augustus Everett, the pair must learn to navigate writer’s block and life as they square off in a bet. January will write a dark, contemplative literary novel and Gus has to whip up a novel with a happy ending. As they draft in their lakeside houses, the two must come to terms with the stories that have shaped their own lives.
