Love & Other Words Is Coming To The Screen

Christina Lauren’s beloved romance novel Love and Other Words is officially headed to the big screen. Magic Hour Entertainment is adapting the story into a film with the help of Sofia Alvarez—who worked on the first two To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before films—who is attached to write and direct. The newly formed production company is also behind the upcoming adaptation of Ali Hazelwood’s Love Theoretically for Amazon.

A New Kennedy Ryan Adaptation Is Headed Our Way

A new Kennedy Ryan adaptation is in the works. Pawn, a romantic drama based on a short story by Kennedy Ryan, is being developed by Viola Davis and Julius Tennon’s JuVee Productions. It’s the first project under their first-look deal with Universal Global Television.

Victoria Aveyard’s Tempest In The Works As Series

Victoria Aveyard is making her adult fantasy debut with Tempest, which is already in the works as a TV series. Chernin Entertainment has acquired the rights to the pirate fantasy, which is the first book in The Lyrian Sea duology. This is the second novel of hers that is currently in development for television. Red Queen is being developed at Peacock with Elizabeth Banks attached to produce.

We Have A New Release Date For The Nightingale

The upcoming adaptation of Kristin Hannah’s The Nightingale has been pushed back from its original February 12, 2027 release date to March 19, 2027, giving the film a chance to capitalize on the Easter holiday weekend.

The This Summer Will Be Different Adaptation Has Been Cast

Netflix has announced the main cast for its adaptation of Carley Fortune’s This Summer Will Be Different. Sophie Nélisse will star as Lucy, Francesca Reale will be playing Bridget, and Roby Attal is taking on the role of Felix. The adaptation will be a 10-episode romance series based on the bestselling novel of the same name.

Sony Has Joined On For The Silent Patient

Alex Michaelides’ bestselling thriller The Silent Patient is officially moving forward as a film adaptation. Sony Pictures has joined Annapurna and Plan B to produce the project. We do not have the casting or release date yet.

Sarah Adams’ When In Rome Series

Sarah Adams’ When in Rome book series is getting a TV adaptation. Rebelle Media and MGM Television have acquired the rights to bring the popular romance series to the small screen.
