Fans of Taylor Jenkins Reid and music lovers everywhere are rejoicing in the recent release of the new series trailer for Daisy Jones & the Six. Coming March 3, this highly anticipated limited series is coming to Amazon Prime Video, based on Jenkins Reid’s novel with the same name (diehard fans: don’t miss our exclusive interview with Taylor Jenkins Reid and Daisy Jones & the Six discussion questions!)

The adaption stars Elvis Presley’s granddaughter, Riley Keough, who plays lead singer Daisy Jones. This exciting role follows the recent loss of her mother, Lisa Marie Presley, who died on January 12, 2023 from cardiac arrest.

Also starring Sam Claflin as Billy Dunne, the other charismatic lead singer, the series details the rise and fall of fictional band “Daisy Jones & the Six” and the music that made them famous. Shown through a string of interviews decades later, the band members are finally ready to talk about the breakup that made them legends.

Inspired by Fleetwood Mac, this show has all the nostalgic late 1970’s vibes. Coming out the same day from Atlantic Records, the show is backed by an amazing soundtrack, the band’s famous album – Aurora. The album has been produced by Grammy-winning songwriter, producer and instrumentalist Blake Mills, alongside Marcus Mumford, Phoebe Bridgers and Jackson Browne at L.A.’s Sound City Studios, and features some incredible instrumentalists from Rilo Kiley, the Who, Nine Inch Nails, Pearl Jam, David Bowie, Elton John, Jeff Beck and the Wallflowers.

Amazon Prime Video also released an official teaser on January 25, 2023.

The teaser alludes to Daisy and Billy’s complicated relationship, full of chemistry, and how together, they created magic through music. Despite Daisy being somewhat of a muse to Billy, he is married to the love of his life, Camilla. With the debut single “Regret Me” playing in the back, Daisy tells Billy, “You write songs about who you wish you were, not who you are.. What if you wrote songs about the guy who wants things that he shouldn’t?” to which Claflin’s Billy replies, “Who’d want to hear a song about that?” and Daisy with her effervescent influence, “I think everybody would.” Um, chills!

Other cast members to look out for: Camila Morrone as Camila Dunne, Will Harrison as Graham Dunne, Josh Whitehouse as Eddie Roundtree, Suki Waterhouse as Karen Sirko, Sebastian Chacon as Warren Rojas, and Tom Wright as Teddy Price, Nabiyah Be as Simone Jackson, with a special appearance by Timothy Olyphant as Rod Reyes.
