Kim Kardashian and Emma Roberts both dive into Hollywood’s latest soap project. After winning last week’s bidding war, Netflix is now adapting Via Bleidner’s novel If You Lived Here You’d Be Famous By Now. This adaptation will be called Calabasas and is being produced by the creators of Pretty Little Liars, Marlene King and Alexandra Milchan. This story centers around a 16-year-old girl named Via who transfers from an extremely Catholic school to Calabasas High. Here she learns that no one is as they seem and everyone is trying to be someone else.

American television star, dancer, and now author, Julianne Hough is set to release her first book with her co-author Ellen Goodlett. After working on this novel for four years, Hough states that she is ready to share it with the world. Titled Everything We Never Knew, this is the story of Lexi Cole who has recently had mysterious incidents happen around her. It all started when she attended an awards banquet and spotted a man with a dark haze around him. After spotting him she starts to feel like she is drowning and cannot breathe, but when he leaves those feelings stop. Later that night he is found dead. As other mysterious events unfold, Lexi realizes that she is starting to see people’s memories, emotions, and thoughts and she could be the only way to save them.

Neil Gaiman’s Cinnamon to be Adapted

The 2017 short story Cinnamon by Neil Gaiman is set to be adapted by Graphic India. The screenplay will be written by graphic novel author and artist, Sharad Devarajan. This short story is about a girl named Cinnamon who is blind to the normal world, but not the supernatural one. When a mysterious talking tiger appears she will have to go on a journey that will lead her along a path to a hidden realm and reshape her destiny forever.

Adaptation of The Thursday Murder Club

It Ends With Us Adaptation is Delayed…Again

The wait continues for the It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover adaptation. This film was originally set to release this past February but was delayed to June 21. Now Sony Pictures has officially moved the film back another couple of months to August 9, 2024. It Ends With Us will be directed and produced by Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.

Verity by Colleen Hoover to Get an Amazon Adaptation

The New York Times bestselling novel, Verity, is getting an adaptation by Amazon MGM studios. Eat the Cat’s Nick Antosca and Alex Hedlund are set to produce the film, with Hillary Zeitz writing the screenplay. Verity is about a woman named Lowen Ashleigh, an author who just got a career-making offer. Siân Heder to Direct Tomorrow, And Tomorrow, And Tomorrow

CODA director Siân Heder has joined the crew of Paramount Pictures Tomorrow, And Tomorrow, And Tomorrow adaptation. The rights for this highly anticipated adaptation have been owned by Paramount since before the book’s initial release in 2021, and news has finally started coming out surrounding the film’s production team. Tomorrow, And Tomorrow, And Tomorrow is about two childhood friends who reunite in their adult lives as video game creators. This novel dives into the emotions and intimacy of creativity within the new video game industry of the 1990s to 2000s.
