Despite the fact that it was intended to be a limited series, following the book to its end, a major announcement for both the series and the book was made. Not only will there be another season of The Last Thing He Told Me, but Dave announced she is writing a sequel to the novel that will be the basis for the story. The book is due to be released in 2025.

The 2023 YA novel The Davenports is headed to the small screen for a Warner Bros. Television and Amazon MGM Studios adaptation.
